Chalk Tips - WAX CHALK is used when fabric is heavy enough to hide the melted wax without bleeding through to the "right side" or when marking for line cutting only. CLAY CHALK is used on silk and thinner fabrics or "right side" marking, used mostly for alterations and fittings. HINT: Always mark wrong side of fabric and use lightest possible marks. When working on "right side" always test on a swatch or where it won't show. Make sure marks can be removed first to be on the safe side.
